Never lose your tabs again.

TabVault saves your open tabs into snapshots you can restore at any time — automatically backed up, recoverable after a crash, and stored only on your own device.

The problem

Years of saved tabs can vanish in one bad update

Anyone who keeps important work in browser tabs knows the risk: a browser update, a crash, or a session manager that overwrites its own saved list can wipe out collections built up over months or years. Many popular tab tools keep a single saved copy with no version history and no backup — when that copy goes, everything goes. TabVault is being built around one principle: a tab manager should never be the reason you lose your tabs.

Automatic snapshots

Every time you stash your tabs, TabVault keeps a snapshot. Nothing is silently overwritten — older snapshots stay available in your history.

Crash recovery

If Chrome crashes or restarts, TabVault can restore the session you had open — so an unexpected shutdown never costs you your work.

Local by design

Your tabs are your business. TabVault stores everything in your browser's local storage. There is no TabVault server holding your browsing data.

How it works

Three steps, then forget about it

TabVault sits quietly in your toolbar until you need it.

1

Stash your tabs

One click saves all open tabs in the window into a named snapshot and frees up memory.

2

Backups happen automatically

Each stash creates a snapshot in your backup history. Restoring never destroys the copy you restore from.

3

Restore anything, anytime

Bring back a whole window, a single tab, or roll back to an earlier version of a snapshot after a crash or a mistake.
